Three SRMS Medical Graduates Win Top Honours at ABVMU Convocation

Bareilly: Three postgraduate students from SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences, Bareilly, brought laurels to the institution by winning prestigious medals at the second convocation ceremony of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU) held recently in Lucknow.

The awardees, all from the 2022 postgraduate batch, secured top ranks in their respective specialisations. Dr. Nishtha Bhardwaj (MS Obstetrics & Gynaecology) received the Gold Medal, while Dr. Sakshi Bansal (MD Radiodiagnosis) and Dr. Pragya Maheshwari (MD Psychiatry) were each awarded Silver Medals for their outstanding academic performance.

The medals were presented by Governor of Uttar Pradesh and Chancellor Anandiben Patel during the convocation ceremony. The event was attended by Surgeon Vice Admiral Krishna M. Adhikari, Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, Ministry of Defence, as the chief guest. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, who also holds the Medical Education and Health portfolio, and Minister of State Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh were present as distinguished guests.

Congratulating the medal winners, Dev Murti, Founder and Chairman of the SRMS Trust, Aditya Murti, Director of SRMS Medical College, and Air Marshal (Retd.) Dr. M.S. Butola, Principal of the college, praised the students for their exceptional academic achievements.

Aditya Murti said the honours reflected the graduates’ dedication, perseverance and commitment to academic excellence. He expressed confidence that their success would inspire future medical students to strive for excellence and contribute to delivering high-quality healthcare to society.
